Miss Melanie 

Melanie Smith is an interdisciplinary dance artist holding her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Temple University. She began dancing at Royal Academy of Dance ballet school in Michigan and upon moving to the Philadelphia suburbs began to round her dance education beyond ballet. Throughout middle school and high school, Melanie began rounding her dance education and competing. At Temple, she trained in ballet, modern, hip-hop, contemporary, Umfundalai, Neo-Traditional West-African, and Improvisation. She currently is a Preschool Teacher at St. Thomas Preschool in Fort Washington where she has a class of 4 year-olds. In her free time, she loves going to sports games and is an avid Phillies fan! 

Miss Katie

Katie Goodridge started dancing at the age of 3. She has trained in various different dance styles such as ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and contemporary. Katie participated in many performance and competition companies throughout her years dancing. She still continues her dance education by taking various adult dance classes. Katie earned her Bachelor's degree in psychology from Gwynedd Mercy University. During her time in college, she researched movement therapy and is very passionate about teaching young dancers how to express emotions and heal emotionally through movement. Katie is currently working in floral and runs a small crochet business.
